WHAT YOU DO AS A FOOD SERVICE WORKER - KITCHEN ATTENDANT

As a Food Service Worker - Kitchen Attendant, you play a key role in providing outstanding service to the residents of our assisted living center. You help with cleaning, food prep, maintenance, stocking, and serving. With attention to detail, you keep things well-stocked, whether in the kitchen, storeroom, dining room, or serving area. Additionally, you help to prepare food as needed.

When you're not handling food, you can be found setting up tables, removing trash, sweeping floors, or cleaning the dining and storage areas. At times, you help with large cleaning projects. Knowing that your services play a huge part in keeping our residents well-cared for brings you great satisfaction!


WHAT MATTERS MOST

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have food handler's card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days of hire.
  • At least six (6) months of experience in the food service industry
  • Must have some knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment.
  • This contract requires employees to have the following immunization: TB. The successful candidates must be willing to provide immunization records for this and/or be willing to take the vaccination if offered the job.
  • Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.

Description of environment: Pioneer Home: This is an industrial kitchen located in an assisted living setting.

Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

As part of the onboarding process for this contract, you will be required to provide proof that you are free of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).
