A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTODIAN - JANITOR

As a Custodian - Janitor, you keep our mall in tip-top shape! You arrive for your shift ready to get in the groove and get to cleaning. Whether it's dusting, mopping, cleaning restrooms, sanitizing, restocking rooms, or doing other janitorial work, you've got a smile on your face. You love the satisfaction of checking off tasks.

You're careful with all cleaning products, using water to clean surfaces and then chemicals and cleaning products to disinfect surfaces. You remove the trash and transport it to the appropriate areas. As needed, you help out with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs. You enjoy working with an amazing team and seeing the results of your hard work!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CUSTODIAN - JANITOR

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 6 months of experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
• The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Preferred Qualifications

• A valid driver's license with a 3-year driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier

Weather: Indoor/Outdoor (Occasional exposure to moderate weather conditions)

Description of environment: This is a retail mall facility that includes retail shops as well professional business offices.

Physical requirements: Must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Employees must constantly be able to stand, walk, climb, push, pull use hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch. Employees are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Travel: None
