WORK SCHEDULE FOR A FOOD SERVICE WORKER

This position is part-time.


WHAT DOES A FOOD SERVICE WORKER DO?

As a part-time Food Service Worker, you contribute to our mission of taking exceptional care of our assisted living residents. You help with cleaning, food prep, maintenance, and serving. Working in the kitchen, you prepare various food products. You make sure that items are well-stocked, whether in serving lines, snack bars, or service machines.

When you're not handling food, you can be found cleaning dishes, setting up tables, removing trash, or cleaning the kitchen and storage areas. At times, you help with large cleaning projects. You're always friendly and willing to help our residents with requests as well. This position is perfect for you, and you find it rewarding to provide such a variety of services for our assisted living community!


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A FOOD SERVICE WORKER

  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least six (6) months of experience in the food service industry.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have food handler's card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days of hire.
  • Must have some knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment.
  • Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.

Description of environment: Pioneer Home: This is an industrial kitchen located in an assisted living setting.

Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

As part of the onboarding process for this contract, you will be required to provide proof that you are free of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).
