A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEAD COOK - CHEF
As a Lead Cook - Chef, you lead our food service team in delivering high-quality culinary dishes to patrons of the university. At the start of your shift, you review the needs of the day with the supervisor. You then assign duties to kitchen staff and oversee the food serving lines, bars, and other dining areas. Responsible for the quantity and quality of the foods we're cooking, you closely monitor staff and help out where you can. You're meticulous about completing production sheets, reviewing maintenance reports, and verifying supply needs.
This is a really cool place to work! You love getting your creative juices going as you help with menu and recipe development. You also enjoy filling in for other kitchen positions as needed - you're never bored! A natural leader, you assist with the training and supervision of the food service team as needed.
