A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
As a Building Maintenance Technician, you keep commercial properties in excellent repair! You perform general maintenance tasks and repairs wherever they are needed. Whether providing routine repairs and preventative maintenance or troubleshooting unexpected damage, you enjoy the challenge. Safety is a top priority, and you always follow proper procedures as you use equipment such as ladders and scissor lifts.
Some of the different tasks you perform include hanging lights, repairing doors, painting walls, replacing pumps, repairing bathroom facilities, handling locksmith duties, and installing drywall. Each day brings something new, and you love the variety. When you've completed your repair tasks for the day, you're sure to clean the work area and tools. You take pride in keeping our buildings beautiful and safe for guests!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work is both indoors and outdoors. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and vibration.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and may occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time handyman position typically works Monday - Friday during regular business hours. Rotating weekend emergency call-outs are included as needed.
