A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT CASHIER
As an entry-level Restaurant Cashier, you serve as the bridge between our customers and our cooks. Every day, you come to work with a great attitude and a readiness to get the job done. You manage our counter by taking food orders online, in person, and over the phone. Committed to providing excellent customer service, you answer any questions our customers may have and offer food suggestions when asked. Then, you pass the orders on to the cooks so they can start preparing the food.
While the food is being made, you take the customer's payment. Once the food is ready, you check it to make sure that everything is correct before giving it to the customer. As you work, you perform light clean-up duties to keep our restaurant looking nice and clean such as, washing dishes, sweeping, and mopping. You take pride in keeping our business running smoothly and enjoy working with a great team in a delicious-smelling environment!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESTAURANT CASHIER
We will help you earn your food handler's permit, but already having one would be a bonus! Are you a team player? Do you have great communication skills? Can you think on your feet and solve problems as they come up? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments? Are you detail-oriented? If yes, you might just be perfect for this food service position!
WORK SCHEDULE
This entry-level position is open to both full- AND part-time shifts, but part-time workers will be expected to work nights and weekends. Our restaurant is open Monday - Saturday, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM and Sunday, 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM.
