DAY-TO-DAY

This full- or part-time bartending position with our hospitality team works a flexible schedule from Tuesday to Sunday, 4 PM to 10 PM.

Work as little as 4 days a week to generate the starting income!

As a Restaurant Bartending Supervisor with our hospitality team, you practice the art of high-quality customer service by taking care of the beverage orders for those who dine with us. You acknowledge each guest who comes to the bar and properly check the IDs of our younger guests before performing prompt service. In addition to serving the bartop, you also prepare beverages for guests in our dining area. The drinks you serve include beer, wine, and house specialty cocktail recipes. Keeping a working knowledge of beer styles, you make sure to use the correct glass with each pour.

In addition, you assist customers with selecting a beverage, inform them of any updates to their food orders, and communicate customer needs to the cook. You stay current with menu choices and sell our daily specials to guests. Keeping up with inventory, you switch out beer kegs when needed, ensure our alcohol selection is well-stocked, and that all glassware is washed and polished. You cut up fruits to use as garnishes, ensuring that perishable items are properly stored and dated.

When serving wine or champagne, you use proper wine etiquette and use the correct tools to open bottles. You also make a variety of espresso and non-alcoholic beverages to serve our restaurant guests. In addition to serving drinks, your bartender duties include making sure our bar area is kept clean and sanitized. You present guests with checks once they finish and process payments. Before and after every shift, you balance the cash drawer as well as complete financial summaries and reports to hand off to a manager.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A RESTAURANT BARTENDING SUPERVISOR

  • At least 21 years old
  • 3+ years of upscale or fine dining food service experience
  • California food handler's certification
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Basic math and cash handling skills
