A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST / DATABASE ARCHITECT

As a Data Management Specialist / Database Architect, your role is at the heart of our purpose because you design the solutions that we provide to the credit unions we serve. You formulate the organizational data strategy, including standards for the quality, flow, and security of data within an organization or platform.

Broad Strokes

Collaborating with several departments, stakeholders, partners, and outside vendors, you align and execute the future state enterprise information architecture with our strategy. Using your expertise in the field, you find creative solutions to complex challenges, enabling our analysts to make decisions backed by data. Your role is key to the growth of our data warehouse and business intelligence teams. You keep a finger on the pulse of the latest tools and technology available as well as provide architectural recommendations and guidance to our business and technology partners.

The Nitty-Gritty

Your vision is what helps us convert business requirements into technical requirements for credit unions. You monitor system performance and evaluate data products to identify any gaps or opportunities for improvement. Using that knowledge, you integrate new features, make recommendations on performance tuning and cost optimization, and implement solutions that leverage the power of our business intelligence systems. You also create and review logical and physical data models, define development standards, maintain documentation of your work, and advocate for data governance.

You feel great about the vital role that you play in our company!
